WHY FREEZE DRIED?
Freeze drying removes all the water from food by first freezing it, and then very slowly converting the ice to water vapor so that it can be removed from the product without using heat to preserve food, which ultimately degrades nutrients. The only heat used in the freeze drying process is a small amount of heat beneath the trays that allows the ice to convert to water vapour. Once all the water is removed, the product is brought up to room temperature slowly and immediately packaged with an oxygen absorber to prevent oxygen from degrading the products over time. The result is a nutrient dense, high value treat that’s easy to feed your pet.
