FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY ARE MY TREATS DIFFERENT SIZES/SHAPES THIS TIME?

All treats are cut by hand for every batch, so there will be some variation in shape and size, but the ingredients will always stay the same.

DO YOU HAVE PRODUCTS FOR CATS?

Freeze dried foods are very easy to break apart into small pieces, so all of our treats can be fed to either dogs or cats by breaking them into appropriate sized pieces for your pet.

CAN FREEZE DRIED TREATS REPLACE MY PET'S MEALS?

We don’t recommend replacing your pet’s meals with freeze dried treats since they don’t provide a balanced diet and your pet won’t get all the nutrients they need.

Since there is still some nutritent degredation with freeze dried food, it also shouldn’t replace the ingredients in a pet’s fresh diet long term.

MY PET HAS ALLERGIES, ARE YOUR TREATS SAFE FOR MY PET TO EAT?

We have many single ingredient treats available. Those treats are processed in batches with products from all the same protein or vegetable source to avoid cross contamination. All trays and equipment are washed between protein and vegetable types.

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?

All our products are made by us in Ontario, Canada.

WHERE ARE YOUR INGREDIENTS SOURCED?

We source Canadian ingredients wherever possible. Any ingredients that cannot be sourced in Canada will be marked with their country of origin.

WHAT IS THE WHITE AND BLUE SQUARE INSIDE MY TREAT BAG?

This is an oxygen absorber that is added to bags of treats to prevent oxygen from degrading them over time.

WHAT KIND OF PACKAGING DO YOU USE?

All our packaging is recyclable and our plastic bags are made with plant based plastics. For more info about all our packaging, visit this page.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?

We are only able to ship within Canada right now and can ship to all Canadian provinces and territories.

HOW ARE MY ITEMS SHIPPED?

Depending on your location, your treats will be shipped with Canada Post or UPS.

HOW SHOULD I STORE THE TREATS?

To freeze dry food, all of the moisture is removed. Exposing food to air will cause it to start rehydrating. If you want to store the treats in something other than the packaging they arrive in, it’s important that the container you use is airtight.

If you’re storing treats long term, keeping them someplace cool and dark is also important since light will degrade freeze dried food over time.

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE?

We’re just starting out as a small business run by two people, so we aren’t set up to offer wholesale for now.
